DIY // Cocktail Mason Jar GiftHappy Black Friday! Today I have a super fun, totally easy and extra adorable project for you. I know you are all busy shopping and such, so while you are out make sure to pick up the couple of things you’ll need to make these fab Mason Jar Cocktail Gifts for all your favorite boozers! They would make the perfect bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, especially if you personalized each jar – but of course they would also make great inexpensive gifts for any occasion, like the holidays!

SUPPLIES:

  • 16oz Mason Jar Mugs (mouth must be at least 2.5″ wide)
  • 7.5oz Mini-skinny bottles of soda
  • Mini bottles of alcohol
  • Cute straws
  • Twine and tags
  • Scissors

The most important part is that you find soda cans skinny enough to fit inside your mason jar mugs. Here we are using 16 ounce mugs that have a 2.5″ wide mouth so they are a little on the smaller side, but they are darling and the perfect size for a drink. If you use the large 30 ounce size (the kind you wouldn’t normally use for a cocktail, unless you like to party) you’ll be able to fit a regular sized soda can inside them.DIY // Cocktail Mason Jar Gift Your call.

Start with two pieces of twine (to make it nice and sturdy) and tie a double knot around the top of your jar.

Then make another knot but don’t pull it tight yet, insert your straw then tighten – it makes it easier to start the knot first.

Do the same thing and add your alcohol bottle but then finish with a double knot to secure.

Using only 2 pieces of the twine add your tag. Then tie a bow with all four stands and cut to finish. I made this tag using my Cricut Explore using image #M469CA and the writing feature. Make, buy, print or write anything you’d like on your tag.

Total Cost: around each. The mason jar was , the straw/twine together was about $.50, the soda was $.50 and the bottles of alcohol ranged from – .

Seven + Seven

So before you rag on me for not using 7UP, it doesn’t come in the “mini-skinny” can, only the short-wide can – so it wouldn’t fit. I prefer Sprite anyway :-)

Jack + Coke

I just can’t get enough of these little “parties in a jar”…

Aside from being terrific bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, these would make wonderful small gifts for the holidays, birthdays, summer time parties, and more!

What’s your favorite mixer + soda? I’m partial to the Dr.Pepper and Fireball!
