Simple homemade gift ideas

Homemade Vanilla ExtractI love giving homemade gifts at the holidays. For me, it’s like taking the time to sit down and hand write a note. It’s the special touches that really show how much you care.

Another great thing about homemade gifts is that you can often make them ahead of time so they are ready to go at a moment’s notice. And there are so many cute packaging and labeling ideas on Pinterest these days!

One of my favorite gifts is homemade vanilla. The ingredients are simple: fresh vanilla beans + vodka (make sure it’s gluten-free!).My friends were amazed by the rich flavor. Quick tip: make few extra bottles to have on hand for the perfect hostess gift.

Sweet & Savory Rosemary PecansWe rounded up a few more homemade gift ideas:

1. Sweet & Savory Rosemary Pecans (Prep Dish Recipe)
Package these up in cute plastic bags with fun ribbon to tie it off or in metal tins with clear lids so your recipient will be tempted all day long.

2. from Family Spice
Not a tequila fan? Try infusing vodka instead. Either way, make sure you purchase gluten free bottles (100% agave for tequila or no wheat added for vodka).

Pomegranate tequila3. from Gluten Free Frenzy
Everybody loves getting cookies in a jar…no thinking or measuring needed. Now we have a gluten-free recipe!

4.) from Tasty Yummies
Pair this savory treat with a tasty balsamic vinegar and/or include a recipe card for your favorite way to use the oil. Be sure to read Beth’s note about using garlic in infused oils. To be safe, you might want to avoid gifting garlic infused oils and stick with the spice blends.

5.) from Minimalist Baker
This would be amazing on gluten-free biscuits or used as a glaze for pork, chicken, turkey or ham.

Gluten Free Cookies in a Jar6.) from Wellness Mama
I love using natural skincare products, especially sugar scrubs, and always ask my sister to make these for me.

7.) from the Foodie Affair
This would be fun by itself, or paired with homemade apple pie spice or a bottle of homemade vanilla. Include a recipe card or a couple of whole cinnamon sticks for an extra-special touch.
